Permutations and Combinations

There are thirteen flights from Delhi to Bangalore, and then six flights from Bangalore to Chennai. Saumya wants to fly from Delhi to Bangalore and then to Chennai. How many choices does she have for her flight plan?

Use multiplication rule of counting.

Define action \(A\) as flight from Delhi to Bangalore and action \(B\) as Bangalore to Chennai. Then, total number of ways of occurrence of \(A\) and \(B\) is \(=13\times 6 = 78\) ways.
